Showroom extensions and refurbishments at the Cardiff, Bridgend, Swansea and Neyland showrooms. The work entailed extension of the existing buildings and refurbishment of showrooms.
A 460m long x 3.5m wide access track was formed via cut and fill operation across the hillside to the wind turbine site. The access road was constructed to extremely onerous horizontal and vertical alignment to ensure the turbine components could be physically delivered to site. Other associated works included a substantial reinforced concrete turbine base structure, crane and substation bases, surface water drainage culverts, service ducts and traditional stone wall construction.
The work undertaken demonstrates competencies to undertake the construction of heavy reinforced concrete base structures incorporating the installation of anchor bolts. Construction of a reinforced concrete base to accommodate a transformer unit and carnage operations. Earthworks associated with an access track formed by a cut and fill operation using geotextile and granular material. Duct laying, surface water drainage and hedge bank stone wall structures.
